Loy Kratong wonderful and beautiful festival takes places on the Full Moon of the 12th Lunar month in the Thai calendar, which was November 5th in 2025. It is usually a joyous occasion when the Thai people dress in traditional costumes and, in the evening, go to a river of lake, or any piece of water and float their Kratong to send away all the bad things in their life and to celebrate the end of the rainy season.
This year the event was muted somewhat due the the recent passing of the Queen Mother just the week before. Our school asked the students to dress appropriately and to join in floating away the rainy season.
There are some fabulous photos to be see here.
